Dhankuta is a small hilly town in the eastern part of Nepal. The Dhankute kukri is named after that town. It is a famous town, known for producing traditional Khukuris. Dhankute kukri is one of the prestigious khukuris, handcrafted by the local people who have been making Khukuris for hundreds of years. This is a beautiful Khukuri wit excelled craftsmanship displayed in the blade as well as the Scabbard. The scabbard shows various symbols such as Khukhuri itself along with the national bird of Nepal, The Dhanphe, National flower Rhododendron, which characterizes Nepal as a whole. It acts as a symbol of Nepal. The blade is made up of highly graded carbon steel (Car and jeep leaf spring, 5160). The handle is made up of Rosewood. It has been in use for a long time for chopping trees, cutting vegetables, and meat products. The khukuri comes with Karda and Chakma, two small accessory blades used for sharping.
